Q. How long before my wedding day should I look for my groomswear?

A. We would recommend to start looking for your groomswear at least 7 months before the big day and, to make things run as smoothly as possible, even earlier. We have noticed that more and more brides and grooms want to finalise their plans early so they know the cost and also make sure they get what they want.

Q. When do I pay the deposit and how much will it be?

A. You pay the deposit when you book your suits.  This can sometimes be at the first appointment or over the phone if you have taken some time to think about it. The deposit is 50% of the total order and the balance is paid when you collect your hire suits.

Q. When do I collect my suits?

A. On average you collect your suits about 3 days before the wedding. We can, on occasions, give you your suits even earlier.  It really just depends on how busy we are at the time. The latest you may get them would be two days before.  For example if your wedding is on a Friday wedding the pickup day would be Wednesday at the latest.

Q. When do the groomsmen get fitted?

A. The groomsmen should arrange to get fitted at least 3 to 4 months before your wedding day. If some of the guys are abroad they can email us provisional measurements. They can do this by visiting a local tailor/hire shop.

Q. What if someone puts on weight or looses weight before the wedding?

A. Generally this isn’t an issue for us as we carry alot of stock in store for this reason. The reason we give you your suits with plenty of time before your day is because it is vital that everyone tries on their suits to make sure everyone is comfortable and you and the bride are happy.

Q. What if someone damages a suit?

A. Unfortunately from time to time this can occur.  With small pageboys, we recommend you take a spare set of clothes for him and change into these after you have taken the photographs so that you can be sure the suit does not get damaged. With the adults, well we hope that everyone behaves!! However, doing a Tina Turner on the dance floor and ripping the trousers or power sliding does cause damage that cannot be repaired and therefore is charged to the Groom. The cost of replacing damaged items is detailed in everyone’s suit bag.

Q. When are the suits to be returned?

A. With weekend weddings the suits are to be returned on the Monday before 12:00 noon. With regard to mid week weddings the day after. Sometimes we can arrange a later return, however, this must be agreed with a member of staff before the suits are collected and not after!.  We often have weddings the following week (during busy times) and so it is important for us to get the suits back as quickly as possible so we can have them dry cleaned. Remember we try to give you your suits as early as possible. This is only possible when everyone leaves back at the agreed time. We reserve the right to charge a late return fee for customers that blatantly disregard our returns policy.
